 Chinese business firms visit Pakistan for agricultural, industrial cooperation

BEIJING, Feb. 5 – A delegation of Chinese enterprises visited Lahore, Multan, Sahiwal and other Pakistani cities for agricultural and industrial cooperation on Feb 2-4, 2020.    
Wu Guang, vice director of the China-Pakistan Agricultural and Industrial Cooperation Information Platform, led the delegation and met with the president of Beacon House in Lahore on Feb. 2. 
Wu introduced the pepper planting program in Pakistan operated by Sichun Litong Food Group, a Chinese company, on which Beacon House showed great interest. The two sides will have further communications on cooperation.   
On the following day, Wu and the delegation went to Multan for inspection. They have friendly communications with the local enterprises on development of wasteland, grass planting of pasture, comprehensive development of wood and fruit trees, water-saving agriculture, food processing and building of modern agricultural park. 
On Feb. 4, the delegation visited Vehari Punjab and had in-depth communications with the local business associations, investment authorities and enterprises on the cooperative planting of pepper, oil crops and cereals, food processing and industrial park construction. It is worth mentioning that the local social communities look forwards to the Sino-Pak agricultural cooperation and welcome more communications and exchanges with Chinese enterprises. 
The China-Pakistan Agricultural and Industrial Cooperation Information Platform, hosted by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Pakistan and organized by China Economic Net and China Machinery Engineering Corporation, was launched on Jan. 26, 2020. It aims to strengthen the interaction and communications between Chinese and Pakistani enterprises to tap into the agricultural and industrial cooperation.
