 Second phase of SSRL’s Chinese language program kicks off in Thar

According to a media report, the first phase of a programme aimed at teaching Chinese to Thar youth has been finished, with encouraging results.

Hundreds of boys and girls in Thar Block-1 are learning Chinese, according to a top official of Sino Sindh Resources Private Limited, a local subsidiary of Shanghai Electric.

Under a long-term programme established by SSSL, children from local villages in Thar Block-1 are taught the Chinese language by qualified teachers. The first session was recently completed, and the outcomes are encouraging. The second session is now under progress and will end next month.
